listening for the unknown in the silence

Today’s card is an invitation to embrace quiet

Quiet. It’s a beautiful word. It feels rare and magical when I stop and feel into it. It’s something I often crave.

But it’s not always somewhere I feel comfortable.

There’s a tension between the wanting and the having. What do I do with this quiet? What is it for?

Of course, I know what it’s for. It’s for just being. It’s for listening, inside and out. It’s for the spaciousness that arrives, a surprise each time, in my otherwise busy mind.

Where is quiet elusive for you? Are you resisting the empty space? 

There can be so much unknown hiding in the silence. Perhaps it’s uncomfortable to imagine. What might come up for you if you turn down the volume on everything else? 

But there can also be insight, spaciousness, exhilaration even! This card is an invitation to explore, with courage and patience.

Can you allow the quiet and discover what magic lies within?
