Today’s card is an invitation to put yourself first.
Some days I’m just too busy. Nourishing myself? Not right now, I’ve too much to do, perhaps later, or tomorrow…
It’s often so ingrained in us to deny what we need, putting work, kids, hoovering and everything else ahead of our own “selfish” needs.
It’s been hard work to put myself first. There’s been a layer of shame around it for so long. Even when I reminded myself that everyone else gets the best version of me when I’m rested, I’ve eaten well and I’ve spent time with my favourite people. When my body and soul is nourished.
What does nourishment look like for you? Sometimes for me it’s a mug of cacao, perhaps a hand on my heart and a chat with my inner child. Sometimes it’s lifting weights at the gym. Other times it’s sitting with my cat looking at the garden. It’s not much, really, micro moments, small slices of my day that are just for me.
I deserve to feel nourished. And so do you.

Each day we’re being influenced by so many factors. The people we spend time with, the information we consume, the exercise and food with which we supply our bodies. Our internal voice and the beliefs we hold. All of these can nourish, or they can deplete.
There are no prizes for denying yourself a healthy & joyful life. We all deserve to feel thoroughly nourished in our bodies, hearts and minds.
This card is an invitation to notice what you are feeding yourself…what food, words, content, friendships, work, movement? And to notice how each feels. Is it enriching you, or draining you?
